About Mary Wadsworth

The inspiration for artist Mary Wadsworth's new company, Blooming Ideas LLC, began in 1991 with a nursery rhyme. Passionate about writing and illustrating, Mary turned her creative talents to children's poetry and painting to commemorate the birth of a nephew. Delighted with the result, Mary, a successful interior designer at the time, began focusing her efforts on what came naturally: creating children's art and poetry.

In 1999, Mary was invited to work her interior magic on a guest room for a designer show house. Using one of her original illustrated nursery rhymes for the theme, Mary's "toddler" room was enthusiastically received. With her interior designer star rising, Mary launched the Mary Wadsworth Design Company and continued to draw inspiration from her original poetry and illustrations.

Now, through Blooming Ideas LLC, Mary is committed to bringing her whimsical interiors and products to homegrown designers everywhere with the goal of providing affordable materials, storylines and characters that help inspire any do-it-yourselfer.
